Supported Platforms
Printeez integrates directly with the most popular e-commerce platforms, allowing you to sync orders and products automatically without manual data entry.
Currently supported platforms:
- Shopify : Full two-way sync for orders and products. Recommended platform for most merchants.
- Etsy : Order sync supported. Products are created manually in your Etsy shop and linked in the Printeez dashboard.
- WooCommerce : Order sync supported via our WooCommerce plugin. Requires WordPress 5.0+ and WooCommerce 5.0+.
How Order Sync Works
Once your store is connected, Printeez automatically pulls new orders from your platform and routes them to production. Here is what happens at each step:
- A customer places an order on your store
- Printeez detects the new order within minutes via the integration
- The order appears in your Printeez dashboard under Orders for your review
- Approve : If auto-approval is disabled, you must manually approve the order before it enters production
- Once approved (automatically or manually), the order goes into production
- Tracking information is pushed back to your store automatically once the order ships
Shopify only : You can enable or disable automatic order approval in your dashboard under Stores - Shopify Store's Name : Settings — Auto-Push to Production. Auto-approval is recommended for high-volume stores.
Automatic vs. Manual Order Approval
Printeez gives you the choice between automatic and manual order approval. You can configure this in Store's Settings — Auto-Push to Production.
- Automatic Approval: Orders from your connected store are approved and sent to production immediately without any action required from you. Best for established products with consistent quality.
- Manual Approval: Every incoming order waits in a pending state until you review and approve it. Recommended when launching new products or during high-error periods.
Orders that sit in pending status for more than 7 days without approval may be automatically cancelled depending on your plan settings. Check your dashboard for the exact timeout configured for your account.
Product Sync and Importing Products
For Shopify users, Printeez supports two-way product sync. You can push products from Printeez directly to your Shopify store, or import existing Shopify products into Printeez for fulfillment.
To push a product from Printeez to Shopify, follow this documentation : Add a Product to Your Shopify Store
To link an existing Shopify product to Printeez for fulfillment, follow this documentation : Sync Products to Shopify
Important :
For Etsy and WooCommerce, product linking is done manually. Automatic product push is not currently supported for these platforms.
Managing Multiple Stores
You can connect multiple stores to a single Printeez account, including stores from different platforms. Each store is managed independently and orders are kept separate.
Etsy-Specific Information
Etsy has unique requirements compared to other platforms. Here is what you need to know when using Printeez with Etsy:
- Listings: You create and manage all Etsy listings yourself. Printeez does not create or modify your Etsy shop listings.
- Order Sync: Once connected, orders placed on Etsy are automatically pulled into Printeez for production. There is typically a 5–15 minute delay.
- Personalized Orders: If your Etsy listings include personalization options (custom text, names, etc.), those details appear in the order notes in your Printeez dashboard. You are responsible for incorporating customization into the design file before approving the order.
- Tracking: Tracking numbers are automatically pushed back to Etsy once the order ships. Etsy will notify the customer automatically.
- Cancellations: If a customer cancels on Etsy before production begins, you must also cancel the order in your Printeez dashboard manually.
Etsy may occasionally delay order sync during high-traffic periods (holidays, sales events). If an order does not appear within 30 minutes, use the manual Sync Now button in Integrations.
WooCommerce-Specific Information
WooCommerce integration requires a WordPress plugin installation. Here are the key details:
- Requirements: WordPress 5.0 or higher and WooCommerce 5.0 or higher are required.
- Order Statuses: Printeez pulls orders with the status “Processing” from WooCommerce. Orders in other statuses (On Hold, Pending Payment) are not pulled automatically.
- Tracking: Tracking numbers are automatically pushed back to WooCommerce and the order status is updated to “Shipped” when the order leaves our facility.
- Webhooks: The plugin uses webhooks to detect new orders in real time. Ensure your WordPress site is not blocking outbound webhook requests.
If orders are not syncing, verify that your API key is entered correctly and that your WordPress site allows outbound HTTP requests. Some managed hosting providers block these by default.
Disconnecting a Store
If you need to remove a connected store from your Printeez account:
- Go to Stores in your Printeez dashboard
- Find the store you want to disconnect
- Disconnect: Click this button next to the store name
- Confirm the disconnection when prompted
Disconnecting a store stops all future order sync. Orders that are already in production will continue to be fulfilled. Past order history is retained in your Printeez dashboard.
Note :
For Shopify, you should also uninstall the Printeez app from your Shopify admin panel after disconnecting to fully remove the integration.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If your store is not syncing correctly, here are the most common causes and how to resolve them:
- Expired Authorization: Store connections can expire if you change your platform password or revoke app permissions. Go to Integrations and reconnect your store.
- Orders Not Appearing: Check that orders meet the sync criteria (correct status, correct store). Use the Sync Now button to trigger a manual sync.
- Tracking Not Updating: Verify that your platform allows incoming webhook updates from Printeez. Some firewall or security plugins on WooCommerce can block these.
- Duplicate Orders: If the same order appears multiple times, this is usually caused by re-sending webhooks from your platform. Contact support to resolve duplicates.
If you have tried the above steps and the issue persists, contact Printeez support and include your store URL, platform name, and a screenshot of the error or the affected order number.
