The Design Tool is the editor inside Printeez where you build your decorated products. It brings together everything in one workspace: choose your garment, add artwork, pick colors and sizes, select a decoration method, configure print locations, and preview your finished product before saving.
Opening the Design Tool
You can open the Design Tool in two ways:
- Create a new product: click + Create Decorated Product on the My Products page
- Edit an existing product: click the edit icon next to a product name, or open the ••• menu on a product card and choose Edit Product
Layout
The Design Tool is divided into two main zones:
- Left panel: a set of tabs that control what you are editing, Product, Artwork & Layers, Files, and Add Text, plus a decoration method selector at the top
- Canvas (center): a live preview of the garment with your artwork placed on it. Switch between print locations using the tabs above the canvas (Front, Back, Left Side, Right Side, Inside Label).
- Right panel: appears when an artwork layer is selected on the canvas. It displays the editing tools for that layer: position, dimensions, rotation, alignment, smart placements, artwork colors.
Left Panel Tabs
• Product: choose garment, select colors and sizes
• Artwork & Layers: manage the artwork items placed on the canvas — reorder, lock, delete, and access artwork editing tools (Crop, Enhance, Vectorize, Colors, Smart Placements, Positioning)
• Files: browse your Artworks Library or upload new files to add to the canvas
• Add Text: add a text layer to the canvas and style it
Saving
When you are done, click the Save button at the bottom of the left panel. The Design Tool calculates a production estimate and saves your decorated product to My Products.
