Printeez supports four decoration methods. You choose your method in the Design Tool, and it determines how your artwork is applied to the garment during production.
How to Select a Decoration Method
When you upload or add artwork to the canvas, a popup appears in the center of the canvas asking you to choose a decoration method. The options shown are only the methods available for that specific product. S
elect the method that best suits your artwork and garment.
DTG — Direct to Garment
DTG (Direct to Garment) printing inks are applied directly onto the fabric using a specialized inkjet printer. This method is ideal for full-color artwork with gradients, photos, and complex designs. DTG works best on 100% cotton or high-cotton-blend fabrics. A white ink underbase is typically applied to ensure colors appear vibrant on dark garments.
DTF — Direct to Film
DTF (Direct to Film) printing involves printing your design onto a special film, then heat-transferring it onto the garment. DTF produces a durable print and works on a wider variety of fabrics than DTG, including polyester, nylon, and blends. It is a good option for detailed artwork on garments that are not 100% cotton.
Embroidery
Embroidery stitches your design directly into the fabric using thread. It is ideal for logos, text, and simple designs with solid colors. Embroidery creates a premium, textured look. Complex artwork with gradients or fine details may need to be simplified for embroidery.
Finishing
Finishing refers to additional customization applied during the finishing stage of production, such as folding labels, woven labels, or hang tags. This decoration method does not add printed artwork to the garment itself; it adds branded finishing details.
