The Vectorize tool converts a raster image (PNG, JPEG) into a vector-based version. Vector artwork scales to any size without losing quality, making it ideal for logos, lettering, and designs that need to be printed cleanly at various sizes.
How to Vectorize
- In the Artwork & Layers tab, select the artwork layer you want to vectorize.
- Click the Vectorize option in the layer's tool options.
- The system processes the image and replaces the artwork layer with a vectorized version.
When to Use Vectorize
- Your artwork is a logo or flat graphic with solid colors
- You uploaded a PNG or JPEG and want it to scale cleanly at large print sizes
- You want to use the Single Color mode (see Artwork Colors) and need clean, solid fills
Notes
Vectorize works best on artwork with clear outlines and solid or limited colors. Photographs and complex gradient images are not good candidates for vectorization. After vectorizing, use the Artwork Colors tool to verify the color output looks as expected.
