The Branding section lets you create and manage neck tag artwork sets, custom printed labels that appear on the inside of your garments. Instead of preparing artwork manually for every product and size, Printeez generates the label artwork automatically using each garment's print specifications. You only need to set up your logo and choose which products the label applies to.
To access the Branding section, click Branding in the left navigation. The page is titled Your Branding Assets.
How Neck Tags Work
A neck tag is a small label printed directly on the inside collar area of a garment. Because each product style and size has slightly different print dimensions, the label artwork must be size-specific. Printeez handles this automatically: when you create or upload a neck tag set, the system uses each garment's registered print specs to scale and position the label correctly for every size.
Your neck tag artwork is organized into Artwork Sets. Each set contains the artwork for all the sizes of one or more products. A set can include two logo versions, one for light garments and one for dark garments, so the label always shows the right contrast.
Artwork Sets
The Artwork Sets section on the Branding page lists all your saved neck tag sets. For each set you can see:
- Set name: a custom name you give the set, or the default name assigned on creation
- Products: how many products the set is applied to
- Per-size previews: thumbnail previews of the generated label artwork for each size (XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, etc.)
Click any size thumbnail to preview the full artwork for that size. Click the edit icon on a set to modify it.
Method 1: Create from Template
The easiest way to create a neck tag set is to use one of Printeez's ready-made templates. You only need to upload your logo, Printeez fills in the layout, sizing text, and care symbol placeholders automatically.
Step 1 — Click Create from Template
At the top of the Artwork Sets section, click Create from Template. A template selection screen appears with 10 pre-designed layouts to choose from.
Step 2 — Choose a template
Browse the 10 available template designs. Each template has a different arrangement of the logo, size text, and brand elements. Click the template that best fits your brand style.
Step 3 — Select your products
After selecting a template, you are taken to your product list. Select one or more products that this neck tag set will apply to. You can select multiple products at once, the system will generate size-specific artwork for every size offered across all selected products.
Step 4 — Upload your logos
Upload two versions of your logo:
- Light version: used on dark-colored garments (light logo for visibility on dark backgrounds)
- Dark version: used on light-colored garments (dark logo for visibility on light backgrounds)
Printeez places your logo in the template and generates a complete, print-ready artwork file for every size automatically. You do not need to resize or adjust anything manually.
Step 5 — Review and save
Review the per-size previews to confirm the labels look correct across all sizes. Give the set a name if you would like, then save. The set appears in your Artwork Sets list and is linked to the products you selected.
Method 2: Upload Your Own
If you have already prepared your own neck tag artwork, for example, custom-designed files with specific fonts, layouts, or care symbols, you can upload them directly without using a template.
Step 1 — Click Upload Your Own
At the top of the Artwork Sets section, click Upload Your Own.
Step 2 — Upload your artwork files
Upload a separate artwork file for each size you need. Neck tag artwork files must meet the following requirements:
- Canvas size: 900 × 900 px with a transparent background (for PNG files)
- Print area: the full printable area is 3 × 3 inches, design within this boundary
- File per size: create one file for each garment size (XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, etc.)
- File type: PNG (recommended) or SVG
Printeez provides downloadable neck tag templates to help you get started. Click Download neck tag templates on the Branding page to download the template files.
Step 3 — Assign to products and save
Assign the uploaded set to the products it should be printed on, then save. The set will appear in your Artwork Sets list.
Neck Tag Design Guidelines
Whether you use a template or upload your own files, follow these guidelines to ensure your neck tags print correctly:
- Include required information: each neck tag must include the garment size, material composition, country of manufacture, care instructions, and your business or brand name
- One file per size: create a separate artwork file for each size — the dimensions of the print area vary slightly between sizes, and Printeez uses the garment's registered specs to ensure precise placement
- Contrast with the garment: choose text and logo colors that are clearly visible against the garment color. Use the light logo version for dark garments and the dark logo version for light garments
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create a separate neck tag for every product I sell?
Not necessarily. If multiple products use the same sizes and you want the same label design, you can assign one artwork set to multiple products at once. However, if products have different size ranges or different label requirements, create a separate set for each.
Can I edit a neck tag set after it has been saved?
Yes. Click the edit icon on any artwork set in your Artwork Sets list to update the logos, reassign products, or rename the set.
What if I sell both light and dark garments?
When using a template, you upload two logo versions — one for light garments and one for dark garments. Printeez automatically applies the correct version based on the garment color. If you upload your own artwork, prepare separate files for each garment color group as needed.
Can I preview what the neck tag will look like before saving?
Yes. After Printeez generates the artwork, per-size thumbnails are displayed. Click any thumbnail to see a full-size preview of the label for that size.
